Doug Carlson Development - History

Doug Carlson has been involved in the construction industry for over 30 years. He owned and operated C&E Construction, Inc. from 1981-1995. In the early years, the business concentrated on residential construction and then grew into the multi-family dwelling market with 25 full-time employees. C & E provided construc-tion management, carpentry and general contracting services. C & E built large additions for several churches in Minnesota, such as Salem Lutheran Church in Montevideo and Celebration Lutheran Church in Sartell. The company also provided construction management services on numerous convenience store pro-jects, including several Cenex Convenience Store/Gas Stations in the six-state area of Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa. These projects provided the opportunity to work closely with members of the boards of directors and the communities in all phases of the construction process.

In 1995, Doug sold C&E Construction and formed Douglas A. Carlson Development, Inc. to pursue his in-terest in land development in the commercial and housing markets. These projects have taken place in many different locations including Colorado, Arizona, Kansas, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wis-consin, Michigan, and Minnesota. Doug has a proven track record in the successful delivery of dozens of new and renovation construction projects.

In 2013, Doug Carlson partnered with Daryl Linz. Daryl brings his 30 years of extensive knowledge and experience in residential senior developments and commercial building construction. Daryl has worked in the construction industry since 1981 and has been a part of all aspects of the building process.

In 2015, Doug Carlson Development hired Tony Dingmann as their Senior Project manager, Tony started in the construction industry after graduating from college in 1996 where he was a primary general contractor in commercial and residential projects and specializing in large Rehab apartments and senior housing.

Doug Carlson, Founder and Co-Owner

In 1995, Doug sold C&E Construction and formed Douglas A. Carlson Development, Inc. to pursue his interest in land development in the commercial and housing markets. Doug has been involved in project developments in Colorado, Arizona, Kansas, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota. His expertise is managing large scale construction operations for owners and contractors. He is proficient in cost estimating, scheduling and contract administration. Doug has a proven track record in the successful delivery of dozens of new and renovation construction projects ranging in value from less than $1 million to multi-million dollars.


 

Tony Dingmann, Vice President/Senior Project Manager

In 2015 Tony Dingmann joined the Doug Carlson Development team as their Senior Project Manager with the primary duties of handling new and rehabilitation assisted living and apartment projects.  In 2016 Tony was promoted to Vice President/Project Manager taking a larger role in company. Tony started in the construction industry after graduating from college in 1996 where he was a primary general contractor in commercial and residential projects and specializing in large Rehab apartments and senior housing.
